Smiles Dental, Epsom, Surrey- At Smiles Dental Dental Care – Epsom we boast of a competent, highly-qualified clinical team and a caring, suitably trained and qualified ancillary team. As the dentists here have been with us for several years this means that they have built up a personal level of service with their patients. This enhances the excellent dental care provided by creating a very friendly and relaxed atmosphere throughout the practice.
All of our dentists at the practice are extremely knowledgeable within their chosen field. Every surgery is situated on ground level and is fully equipped – allowing us to provide our patients with the very latest dental treatments. We offer flexible opening times and our staff are always keen to give new and existing customers a warm and friendly welcome.
We are a lovely family practice offering predominantly private treatment. In all we have three general dentists who offer a full range of dental procedures including cosmetic work and home whitening. Under the same roof we have Heath House Specialist Centre. This means we can provide our patients with Endodontic, Periodontal & Implant services by specialists under one roof, without the need to travel.
We arrange sedation for very nervous patients and also offer a swift service if needed for denture repairs.

Dr Shan Verkroost qualified from the Victoria University of Manchester with extensive experience in all aspects of dentistry.
Sympathetic with nervous patients, she enjoys restorative and cosmetic work and welcomes families of all ages. Shan has practiced in Epsom for over ten years supported by a highly skilled team of Specialist Clinicians.
Having lived abroad she is sensitive to a variety of backgrounds and cultures. She is also an active member of the British Dental Association.
Outside of work Shan’s interests include golf, winter sports, football, yoga and gardening. She enjoys galleries, the theatre and meeting new people. Shan is married with two grown-up children.

Dr Gluckman Norman studied at Witwatersrand University in South Africa where he qualified in 1969. He then worked as a general dentist in England and Israel.
After completing endodontic training at Tel Aviv University he joined the staff of the faculty where he instructed undergraduate students for 9 years.
In 1979 he was registered as a specialist in Endodontics in Israel and in 1999 by the General Dental Council in the United Kingdom.
At present Norman is in private practice limited to Endodontics in England.

Dr Amit Shah was born in Kingston where he attended Tiffin school. Amit qualified in dentistry from the University of Wales, college of medicine. His interests are in restorative and cosmetic dentistry for the entire family.
Amit was recently married and lives in Surbiton.

Dirk Slabbert qualified from the University of Pretoria in South Africa in 1983.
After working in Bloemfontein in private practice he moved to Brighton East Sussex in 1992.
Dr Slabbert has a special interest in cosmetic, surgical and implant treatments. Dirk is qualified to offer treatment under sedation. He has been placing and restoring implants for the last ten years and since being part of the Smiles Dental he has been working at other locations.
He attends regular updates conferences and courses in the UK and abroad. He is an active member of the International College of Implantology and the Association of Dental Implantologist in the UK.

Specialist in periodontics
Stavros Kolonidis qualified as a General Dental Practitioner in 1992 from the University of Lasi, Greece. He then spent the following 3 years in general dental practice before undertaking a 3 year course at Dublin Dental Hospital (Trinity College) in Periodontology. He was awarded his M.Dent.Ch in 2001.
In the same year he achieved specialist status on the GDC register.
