Dental Surgeon – Rostock (Germany) 1995.

Reiner qualified in dentistry at the University of Rostock (Germany) in 1995 and went to achieve his doctoral degree at the University of Hamburg (Germany) in 2002.

Since graduating Reiner has been running his private practice in Germany and has been working in the UK for private practices in Derbyshire and South Yorkshire as well as for a large provider of cosmetic dentistry with practices in London, Birmingham and Leeds since 2006.

Reiner is committed to post graduate education and regularly attends courses in Europe and the United States so he can provide the most up-to-date treatments currently available in dentistry.

Reiner currently carries out all Invisalign® treatment within the practice.

Kimberley qualified from the University of Sheffield with a dual qualification in Dental Hygiene and Dental Therapy in July 2010. Whilst in Sheffield Kimberley worked at the Charles Clifford Dental hospital in the specialist Implant, Paediatric, Orthodontic and Periodontology clinics.

As a Dental Therapist Kimberley carries out a full range of restorative treatment as well as the full duties of a Dental Hygienist.

When not working Kimberley enjoys bouldering, travelling and spending as much time as possible with her two young nieces.

Robin qualified from Manchester University in 1994. After completing Vocational Training in Hebden Bridge, he had several associate positions in the Yorkshire area.

In 2000 Robin bought his own Practice. Most recently he has completed year long courses in Restorative Dentistry and in Occlusion.

He is also a member of the British Dental Association and The British Society for Occlusal Studies. Robin enjoys all aspects of General Dentistry.

In his spare time Robin enjoys going to the gym and playing golf.

Dr Stroud graduated from Leeds University in 2008 and was awarded the Derek Sak’s Prize in Restorative Dentistry. After completing his Vocational Training in 2009, he worked in general practice in Harrogate and Leeds before coming to Cottingham.

Johnlery has undergone several postgraduate courses to further his clinical skills, and is currently undertaking a one year Restorative Dentistry practical course at The North of England Dental Academy.

He always aims to treat his patients as an individual when providing care for them. He is also planning more postgraduate training in the very near future which will include Sedation, Implants, and Aesthetic Dentistry.

Fayaz graduated in 2003 from Guys and St.Thomas’ Hospital, London. Following this he returned to Yorkshire and has been working in general practice.

He takes a keen interest in Cosmetic Dentistry and provides all treatments required to create a desired smile for his patients including Whitening, Teeth straightening and Implants.

He has completed several postgraduate courses to further his specialist interests and holds an Msc in Cosmetic Restorative Dentistry, Diploma in Facial Aesthetics and Certificate in Implantology.

In 2012 he was Shortlisted to a final 4 for ‘Best Young Dentist – North East’ at the Dentistry Awards. This awards ceremony is one of dentistry’s most prestigious award ceremonies, recognising the high standards, commitment to self improvement and delivery of the highest standards of care in the industry.


Currently he is shortlisted in two categories for the National Aesthetic Dentistry Awards 2013. The dentistry awards are to be held at the Landmark Hotel in London on Friday 22nd March 2013. The dentistry awards recognise an excellence in cosmetic dentistry.


Outside Dentistry, he plays club badminton and football. He competes in tournaments nationally and also enjoys community/charity work.

Lindsay started Dental Nursing in 2002 and qualified with a City & Guilds Level 3 NVQ in Oral Healthcare – Dental Nursing in 2004.

In 2008 Lindsay achieved an award for an Advanced BTEC in Dental Reception.

Lindsay started at the Smiles Dental Practice – Rotherham in 2011 as a receptionist/administrator before becoming practice manager in 2012.

Out of work Lindsay likes being a mum to her two girls and going to the gym.

Melanie Hickling Read More

Melanie started dental nursing in 1994, and became registered with the GDC in 2008, Melanie qualified in January 2000 after passing her national exam in Leeds dental institute. Melanie has gained experience in Sedation, Implantology, and Orthodontics.

Melanie started with Smiles Dental in July 2012 and has become our senior nurse.

Melanie enjoys going to the gym and socialising with friends.

Senior Receptionist, RDN

Joanne started dental nursing in 1989, and became a registered with the GDC in 2008, Joanne has gained experience in Sedation, General Anaesthesia, Implantology, Facial Aesthetics and Oral Surgery. Joanne became a dental receptionist in 2006 as she enjoyed the daily challenges this involved.

Joanne started with Smiles Dental in May 2012 and has since become the Senior Receptionist.

Joanne enjoys Zumba, cycling and spending time with her two children.

I qualified from the University of Leeds with a Dual qualification of a Graduate Diploma in Dental Hygiene & Dental Therapy in 2012

During my time at Leeds Dental Hospital I worked in the Periodontology, Paediatric/Orthodontic, restorative and also the One day surgical dental department, as well as treating a wide range of patients in the universities many outreach clinics.

Being a Dental Therapist also enables me to carry out a range of restorative treatments as well as those treatments carried out being a dental hygienist, I take pride in my work and strive to help and motivate patients to enable them to feel happy and confident about their oral health.

I have recently completed a British sign language (Basic sign) course in June 2012 to enable me to communicate with the deaf community and I am embarking on the Level 1 British sign Language course in September 2013.

In my spare time I enjoy shopping, baking cupcakes & cakes and spending time with my family & friends.

Emma started working at Smiles Rotherham in December 2012.

David Murphy Read More

David C Murphy qualified as a Dental Surgeon in 1996. He subsequently underwent formal training in Implantology at the University of Sheffield, and over the past 15 years has successfully replaced thousands of missing teeth using dental implants.

Further postgraduate training culminated in David being awarded a Masters Degree in Restorative Dentistry which he accomplished at Distinction level.

David has a great depth of dental experience and now concentrates on providing advanced Restorative and Aesthetic Dentistry, utilising dental implant treatments where appropriate. He is passionate about both restoring function and rejuvenating smiles, providing treatments that are both successful and predictable.

He takes continuing professional development seriously, travelling extensively to attend both national and international conferences to learn from the world’s most accomplished dental speakers. David also enjoys sharing his knowledge and is active in providing postgraduate education for the dental team.

David accepts referrals for restorative, cosmetic and implant dentistry from dentists in and around Sheffield, Yorkshire, Derbyshire, Lincolnshire and Nottinghamshire.
