Dr Thomas Booth Read More

BDS (Hons) MSc OMFS GDC No. 85495 Thomas Booth qualified with BDS (Hons) at Manchester Dental School, being one of five Dentists to achieve an Honours degree in his graduation year. Tom is local to Cumbria and attended Lancaster Grammar School where his father and uncle are alumni. During his studies at Manchester he received several awards, the most notable of which was made by the Academy of Dental Materials in recognition of excellence in scholarship in the use of dental materials. Since graduating Tom has gained a wide experience in general dentistry and has continued to add to his qualifications with a number of post graduate courses. He has recently completed his Masters degree in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the University of Manchester, his dissertation subject being the ‘detection of oral cancer’. Thomas was also able to complete a 12 month certificate in Aesthetic Dentistry with Chris Orr, a founding member of the British Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry. Tom has placed over 800 dental implants using a variety of established systems including Nobel Biocare, Astra and Ankylos. He continues to focus on his continual professional development by studying for a Masters Degree in Implantology and his MFDS qualification. He is passionate about all aspects of patient care and dentistry, and is especially interested in surgical dentistry. Tom believes that thorough treatment planning is vital to the success of any treatment. If you do not plan, you plan to fail. Tom lives in Kendal with his wife Elise who is also a Dentist at the Grange Dental Care.

Dr Sian Elise Evans Read More

BDS Manc 2000 GDC No. 77499

Elise Evans qualified from Manchester Dental School in 2000 and started her dental career in Wrexham, North Wales where she worked in a mainly NHS practice for four years.

In 2005 Elise returned to Manchester Dental Hospital to work as a Senior House Officer, increasing her experience in oral and maxillofacial surgery. During this period Elise studied for, and passed her MFDS qualification from the Royal College of Surgeons, England.

In 2007 Elise moved up to the Lake District to be with her now husband, Tom Booth. She currently works part time at Grange Dental Care and at a practice in Lancaster.

Elise has completed a postgraduate certificate in Endodontics at Chester University in 2008, but enjoys all aspects of general dentistry.

Alison Edisbury RDH/RDT Read More

Dental Hygienist

Alison graduated from University of Liverpool in January 2009 with a Combined Diploma in Dental Hygiene and Therapy. She has worked in dentistry for ten years, initially as a dental nurse. Alison is responsible for helping patients achieve a healthy smile, treatment and maintenance of gum disease and oral health education. As a Dental Therapist she is also able to carry out fillings on children and adult teeth. Her main focus at the Grange Dental Practice to promote good oral health education and maintain our patients smiles.

Alison has recently undertaken further training to do tooth whitening.

She has a special interest in treatment and management of patients with gum disease, frequently attending study groups in the North West with other hygienists.

Out of work Alison enjoys walking her dog Cooper and going to the gym.

Jodie Nettleton Read More

Practice Manager

Jodie joined the team at Grange Dental Practice in 2006. Prior to this she had been dental nursing since 2001 and gained her dental nursing qualification in 2002.

In 2009 she became practice manager but can still be found dental nursing and helping out at reception. Jodie was recently appointed practice manager trainer for the North West region of Smiles Dental. This has been an exciting opportunity and she has had a great deal of support from the team at the Grange.

In her spare time Jodie enjoys swimming, spending time with family and friends and her most recent hobby is sewing.

Alice Gill Read More

Receptionist

Alice joined Grange Dental Practice in 2009 as a receptionist. In January 2011 she took a break from work to travel around the world, visiting South East Asia, Australia and South America then returned to the practice in November 2011. Alice will soon be starting her dental nurse training so will be busy, splitting her time between surgery and the reception desk.

In her spare time Alice loves being out in the countryside, either horse riding or walking her dog.

Kathryn Mulville Read More

Dental Nurse

Kathryn joined the team at Grange in 2006. She joined as a trainee dental nurse and worked hard over 2 years to gain her NVQ level 3 in dental nursing.

Kathryn works alongside Tom and has done since starting at Grange. She enjoys all aspects of dental nursing but especially enjoys assisting for dental implants and orthodontic treatment.

In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her friends and family and taking her dachshund Qzzy for walks.

Hannah While Read More

Dental Nurse

Hannah joined Grange Dental practice in July 2011 when in her second year of the dental nurse cadetship. Hannah has whilst working at Grange studied towards and passed her dental nursing qualification.

Hannah is excited about the next step in her career now she is qualified and is keen to undertake more exams as her experience grows.

Outside of work Hannah plays football for a local ladies team and enjoys keeping fit by going to the gym.

Julie Wilson Read More

Receptionist

Julie has over 20 years’ experience in dentistry. She qualified as a dental nurse in 1990 when she took the national qualification for dental surgery assistants.

Julie joined the team at Grange on 14th February 2011 a good day to start as she loves working with in our friendly team.

Julie was born in New Zealand and grew up in Shropshire England but made the brave move to Cumbria after meeting a fine Northern Man.

In her spare time Julie loves running, walking, gardening and spending time with her two daughters.

Quentin Gratrix Read More

After graduating from Leeds University in 1999, Quentin Gratrix BchD MSc had a successful period working at a family practice in Cheshire.

After this he relocated to the South Lakes area and has now settled in Kendal with his wife Maria and son, Oliver. Quentin recently joined the team at Grange Dental Practice, and has settled in very well. Quentin is passionate about all aspects of dentistry but is especially interested in Endodontics. Quentin has a Masters Degree in Endodontology and carries out most of the root canal treatment for patients in our practice.
