BDS FRACDS GDC No. 63633 Nikki Burrell graduated from Liverpool University in November 1988. She did a House Officer/Senior House Officer job, then worked in Perth, West Australia both in the dental hospitals. Whilst waiting to emigrate, she had a taste of NHS dentistry doing a six month maternity leave position in Birmingham. Nikki then went on to spent over seven years in Australia in private practice and also at Princess Margaret Hospital for Children (treating children with special dental needs and trauma cases for the whole of West Australia) plus teaching at the University of West Australia. During that time she sat both parts of FRACDS, getting her Fellowship in Paediatric Dentistry and Orthodontics in 1994. Nikki returned to the UK in December 1996 and took up her current position in the long established private practice in Wisbech. Since then she has further developed her interest in cosmetic dentistry, attending numerous courses in this field. She is particularly interested in minimally invasive treatment including Invisalign®, Clearstep™ and Lumineers which fit well with this ethos. She has found them to be the most exciting addition to her armamentarium. Nikki is happy to accept referrals for any cosmetic cases and can offer a full range of treatments including invisible braces, no preparation veneers, bonding, crown and bridge work.
Nikki is also happy to assist with paediatric/trauma cases if required and also offers Healozone and microabrasion dentistry.
BDS BSc Dip Hypnosis GDC No. 47922 David Hyman has been a qualified practitioner for over 30 years. He enjoys providing general dentistry including special interests in cosmetic restorations, provision of dentures, root canal treatment and crown & bridge work. Another of David’s special interests is treating dental phobia with sedation techniques and in some selected cases, hypnosis. In line with modern dentistry he keeps up-to-date by constantly improving his knowledge through undertaking courses on the latest techniques. David is very passionate about treating patients in the way he would feel comfortable being treated himself.
BDS, DGDP, Rcs,Eng GDC No. 55028 Dr Jerry Watson qualified from Guys hospital in 1980 where he won the Alfred Rycroft scholarship for restorative dentistry. Jerry spent his first six months as a house officer in oral and maxillofacial surgery and then moved to Peterborough and worked as an associate in a large practice.
Jerry was offered a partnership in this practice but decided that I wanted to set up his own practice and so founded Cathedral Square dental care in 1984. Over the years the practice won many prestigious awards, it was the first practice to be awarded “investors in people”, the Denplan practice of the year for two years, and the Peterborough business awards for customer care. In 1988 Jerry became interested in implantology as more of his patients were looking for a fixed solution to missing teeth. Initially his interest was in the restorative side of implantology and over the next ten years he provided over 700 implant retained restorations. He was very fortunate to be mentored by Dr Stephen Taylor who provided one to one instruction in the surgical placement of implants. Jerry has been surgically placing implants for the past six years and have placed over 500 implants. A recent audit showed his ten year success rate to be over 92%. Jerry is now accepting referrals for implant retained restorations and is happy to place and restore the implants, or if the practitioner wishes, to place the implants for the practitioner to restore. As a referring practitioner he is also very happy for you to attend or assist in the surgery and can guide you in the restorative procedure. On referring patients who are interested in dental implants, Maria East, our implant co-ordinator will contact them directly to arrange a convenient appointment for an consultation. Once treatment is complete, all patients will be returned to their referring dentist with a written report of the procedure carried out. Please feel free to call Maria on 01945 583199 to discuss the treatment needs of your patients and find out more about the service I can provide.
