Fanny qualified from the Royal Dental Hospital, London, in 1978, since when she has worked continuously in general practice in the UK, apart from a short period of time spent in Israel working in a community clinic.
She was a founder member of the London group of the British Dental Hygienists’ Association and Chaired the South-East Regional Group 1991-1993.
In 2001, Fanny received The Probe’ Highly Commended Hygienist of the Year Award’, and in 2008 was awarded Smiles Dental’ ‘Hygienist of the Year’.
She is an associate member of the British Society of Periodontology and a member of the British Society of Dental Hygiene and Therapy. She has worked in this practice since 1990 and is well liked by her patients for her friendly, patient centred approach. She is especially interested in and has completed additional study in the non-surgical treatment of advanced periodontal (gum) disease. Outside of dentistry, Fanny enjoys swimming, yoga and dog walking, sings in a choir, is involved in two local community groups, and cares for her family. She has a Diploma in Holistic Aromatherapy and is interested in complementary therapies.
BDS (Bogota) GDC No. 164179 Dr Duran qualified as a Dentist in 1994 in Bogotá, Colombia with an international inter-universities award for his graduate thesis. After qualifying, he worked in hospital as a Senior House Officer in the restorative department supported by a team of consultants where he acquired great experience in all aspects of conservative dentistry and prosthodontics. Following this, Dr Duran started to work as a private General Dentist in a specialist practice where he developed special interest in cosmetics and completed a diploma in cosmetic dentistry at the Valle University, Colombia. In 1998, he started to work for the largest private corporate dental practice in Colombia as a General Dentist with special interest in cosmetics. After moving to the UK, Dr Duran completed a diploma in dental practice management to add to his 16 years of experience within the dental profession. His hobbies include drawing, oil painting and sculpting.

Dr Woodhouse graduated as a dentist in 2005 from the University of Newcastle and subsequently spent four years working in general dental practice. Following this he spent one year as a Senior House Officer in the Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Departments of Eastbourne District General Hospital and the Royal Sussex County Hospital.
In 2010, Dr Woodhouse embarked on a three year specialist training program in Orthodontics with his time being split between Guys Hospital, London, and the Royal Alexandra Children’s Hospital, Brighton. He is due to complete his specialist training in Orthodontics in September 2013. During his time as an Orthodontic registrar, Dr Woodhouse has gained a broad experience in various orthodontic appliances and techniques, has been involved in the teaching of undergraduate students and has been conducting research into new orthodontic appliances.

Sandra qualified from Guy’s and St Thomas’ United Medical and Dental School in 1997. She has worked in private practice since 2000, including a year in New Zealand. She settled in Sussex in 2001 and has gained considerable experience in all aspects of general dentistry.
Sandra’s priority is to develop a good rapport with her patients so she can better meet their needs and expectations. She appreciates the importance of giving advice and information to patients to help them make the right decisions about their dental care.
She keeps up-to-date with all aspects of modern dental practice and is enthusiastic and motivated. She continues to work at a practice in East Sussex and joins us on Monday/Thursday/Saturdays
