Dr David Wilmot
BDS FDSRCS Specialist in Restorative Dentistry GDC No. 56533
Dr David Wilmot works as an Honorary Consultant in Restorative Dentistry for the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea and is a Registered Specialist in Restorative Dentistry for Smiles Dental in Belgravia.
Dr Wilmot qualified from Edinburgh University in 1982. Following a three-year period in general practice in Kent, he spent two years in Oral and Maxillo-Facial Surgery, moving to Restorative Dentistry in 1988. In 1990 he achieved a Fellowship in Dental Surgery at the Royal College of Surgeons in Edinburgh and went on to receive a Masters in Science in Conservative Dentistry at the Eastman Dental Institute in 1993. At this time he also set up the first community based referral service in Restorative Dentistry, where he continues to consult one day a week.
As a Restorative Specialist David’s work includes conservative dentistry (such as fillings), crown and bridgework (including inlays, onlays and veneers), and root canal treatments and re-root treatments to help to preserve teeth that have died. His role also covers all aspects of gum treatment, including the treatment of areas of recession and the regeneration of lost bone, cement and ligaments that hold teeth in place. To replace missing teeth Dr Wilmot can place titanium implants, restoring them with crowns that look and function just like real teeth. All these treatments involve the use of a microscope to make sure that the fit and finish of every treatment is as perfect as possible.
Dr Wilmot enjoys the challenge of making dental treatment a pleasant experience, which is reflected in his special interest in treating dental phobic patients, both with and without the use of anaesthetist assisted sedation techniques.
Dr Ektor Grammatopoulos
BDS MFDS RCPSG MPHIL MORTH RCS(Ed) FDS(Orth) RCS(Ed) Consultant Orthodontist
Ektor gained the Bachelor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Newcastle in 2004. Following further training in a Restorative Dentistry, Paediatric Dentistry and Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, he started his specialist orthodontic training in 2007 and consultant training in 2010. He now works part-time as a Consultant in Orthodontics at Guy’s and St Thomas’ Hospitals and part-time in specialist orthodontic practice. As a Consultant, he enjoys clinical teaching and supervision of postgraduate dentists training to become orthodontists and trainee orthodontic consultants. In hospital, he is involved in treating complex and multi-disciplinary cases. As an orthodontist he has special interests in optimal smile aesthetics, non-extraction treatment and providing high quality and efficient adult orthodontic treatment.
His work has been awarded a variety of distinguished prizes and awards from a number of highly recognised professional societies such as the European Orthodontic Society, British Orthodontic Society, Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow and British Society of Dental Research, including the European Orthodontic Society W.J.B. Houston Research Award.
He is experienced in the treatment of all patients, from those with the most mild to the most severe needs with all modern techniques, including lingual systems (Incognito) and mini-implants.
Away from his clinical work he enjoys long-distance running, including marathons and half-marathons, tennis, water-skiing and wake-boarding.
Dr Nicola Mulhaire
BDS NUIrel DRDP (UCL Distinction) GDC No. 76088
After graduating from University College Cork, Ireland in 1999, Nicola moved to London to embark in a career as a general dental practitioner. She has been based at Smiles Belgravia since 2003.
Nicola is a friendly experienced enthusiastic dentist and enjoys all aspects of general practice and in particular aesthetic dentistry. In addition to providing the best possible gentle dental care to her adult patients she enjoys seeing the younger members of the family and ensuring that the all important first visit to the dentist is an relaxed positive experience.
She has recently been awarded a Diploma in Restorative Dental Practice from the Eastman Dental Hospital, passing with distinction.

She has recently been appointed as a Clinical Director of Smiles and in this role aim to ensure that as a company we provide the best possible service and care to our patients. Outside of dentistry Nicola is a keen tennis player, skier and a one time Ironman!
Dr Jess Kearon
MFDS RCS Edin 2011, BDS Trinity College Dublin 2008 GDC no. 158351
Jess qualified from Dublin Dental Hosptial in 2008 moving to London to work as a General Dental Practitioner. During these years she gained experience in paediatric treatment, oral surgery, dento-alveolar trauma, endodontic work and restorative treatment including fixed and removable prosthodontics.
She went onto complete her Diploma of Membership of the Faculty of Dental Surgery in 2011 while completing a year working in Bristol Dental Hospital as Restorative SHO working with trauma, hypodontia, and severe tooth wear patients. Skills in periodontal treatment and demanding endodontic treatment and re-treatment under magnification also developed.
She has also worked in Oxford as Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery SHO in a variety of disciplines within the maxillofacial arena including oncology, trauma, deformity, Paediatric and A&E cover.
During these posts she has completed audits and research, maintaining concurrency with medical developments within these fields.
Jess has joined the Smiles team in Belgravia and has a friendly, gentle manner with her patients. She enjoys playing the violin and is a keen sailing instructor and skiing enthusiast.
Dr Manish Gudka
BDS(London) GDC No:178422
Dr Gudka qualified from Guy’s, King’s and St Thomas’ Hospital, London in 2009. Ever since, he has shown an incomparable level of dedication to his clinical dentistry development. He completed his Vocational Training in Worcestershire and then worked as an associate dentist in Bedfordshire, before joining Smiles Dental Belgravia in February 2012.
During this time Dr Gudka was accepted onto the prestigious Master of Science Course in Aesthetic Dentistry at King’s College London, of which he has completed his first two years. He aims to be one of the fair few dentists in the world with this accreditation to his name. He has been a Clinical Teacher at the same institute, where he was responsible for the supervision and teaching of dental undergraduates.
Dr Gudka has a particular interest in the treatment of cosmetic cases. Preferring a modern day approach to smile enhancements, Manish uses evidence based, minimally invasive techniques. He is often able to bring about changes to people’s smiles with less treatment, than they often think they need. He has a passion in cosmetic orthodontic treatments and is an accredited provider of a range of orthodontic treatments including Smile Tru Clear Braces, Six Month Smiles and C Fast Braces.

Only then can I begin to provide the treatment and care my patient’s desire. I will strive to deliver the best as happy patient’s means a happy dentist.’
In his social time Manish is a keen traveller, having visited various corners of the world in recent years. He is an avid football supporter, but wishes not to disclose who he supports and is a film fanatic, always trying to catch the latest movies on the opening weekends.
Ms Eleanor Stobart
Dip Dent Hygiene &Therapy (Kings College London)
Eleanor began as a Dental Nurse in 1999 and realised she had found a career she could really care about. she took her qualification and worked her way to head Nurse, but still wanted more. Eleanor applied to Kings College London, and qualified in 2007 with a merit in Dental Hygiene and Therapy. She also received the Dentsply Dental Therapist of the year award.
Since qualifying Eleanor has worked in many practices and believe the attitude to Dentistry and our Patient’s journey cannot be faulted.
She provides a variety of treatments from simple scale and polish to more complex full mouth disinfection using local anaesthetic if needed.
Eleanor is confident in her ability and finds great satisfaction in ‘making teeth clean’ When I can see an improvement in gingival (gum) health at each visit it really does please her.
She enjoys her job very much and patients tell her it shows which is a huge compliment. Eleanor has been called ‘gentle’ ‘steady of hand’ and ‘thorough’ and her treatments described as ‘calm’ ‘relaxing’ and one patient even said ‘tranquil’
She enjoys welcoming new patients as well as working with established patients to provide a non-judgemental approach to Dental Hygiene, to achieve a healthy mouth and confident smile.
Being a nervous patient herself she understands the anxieties a dental appointment can elicit, but working together they can achieve great results.
In 2005, Emma ventured into her local Army Careers Office on a whim, where a careers officer determined that her compassionate temperament was best suited to a career in healthcare. Before she knew it she was enlisted into the Royal Army Dental Corps to train as a dental nurse and hasn’t looked back since!
She left the Army in 2009 to study dental hygiene and therapy at King’s College London where she was awarded the Dentsply Hygienist Prize for most outstanding clinical skills. Her aim is to provide gentle yet through treatment in a calm and relaxed atmosphere.
Outside of work Emma enjoys yoga, music and reading.
Practice Manager/ Treatment Co-ordinator
Louise started her career in dentistry as a trainee nurse 7 years ago and quickly progressed into management. Having decided to leave her previous job in Bedfordshire to work in high end private dentistry, Louise commenced as Practice Manager of Smiles Dental Belgravia in November 2012. She prides herself on ensuring that patients are welcomed and made to feel comfortable in the practice. Louise is also the Treatment Co-ordinator, ensuring that treatment plans are explained and finances discussed in a confidential friendly manner, paving ways for patients to proceed with treatment the way they want. Louise is wonderfully welcoming to everyone she meets, is always happy to talk and discuss ways in which the team at Belgravia can provide the best possible service for their patients, and then initiate these changes into practice.

Louise is Mum to Kieran and Molly, so a lot of her spare time is spent with them, however if she can get the time Louise enjoys cooking, walking the dog and shopping.
Sam Started her career as a Dental nurse before deciding that she was more interested in the job role of the receptionist. Sam’s focus is on patient care and has recently enrolled to study in her spare time Customer Care.
In her spare time Sam enjoys dancing and keeping up to date with new music.
Registered Dental Nurse
Joan qualified as a dental nurse in 2010 in Ireland, she moved to London in 2013 from County Mayo in the West of Ireland, joan enjoys her job as a dental nurse very much, the diversity of dental nursing and each day being different. Joan also has an interest in restorative dentistry and Orthodontics as well as general dentistry.
She hopes to study radiography and orthodontic courses in the future, attend other courses throughout her career to keep with her CPD.
In her spare time she plays gaelic football, walking, running, dabbles in some baking!! She also enjoys travelling, Joan has travelled around Australia where she lived for a year! She has also travelled to New Zealand, Hong Kong and Thailand, her next stop is America!!
Registered Dental Nurse
Iryna qualified as a dental nurse in 2013 at the Kensington College after moving to the United Kingdom in 200. Iryna is fluent in four languages including Russian and polish.
Iryna nurses for Dr Jess Kearon and enjoys the variety each day brings Dental Nursing. Iryna has a special interest in implants and is looking at studying implant nursing in the future.
In Iryna spare time she enjoys running and often competes in sponsored runs for charity.
Trainee Dental Nurse
Samirah is the newest addition to the nursing Team and is currently studying to become a qualified Dental Nurse. Samirah currently works with Dr Manish Gudka which has helped create a special interest in aesthetic dentistry.
In her spare time Samirah enjoys reading and visiting the zoo as she is a big animal lover.
